Inclusive Boards are delighted to be supporting The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in their search for a new Interim Chief Executive and Registrar.
NMC is the independent regulator of more than 826,000 nursing and midwifery professionals, and nursing associates in England. They are a statutory public body accountable to Parliament through the Privy Council.
NMC’s overarching objective is the protection of the public by:
- protecting, promoting and maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of the public;
- promoting and maintaining public confidence in the nursing and midwifery professions; and
- promoting and maintaining proper professional standards and conduct for members of the nursing and midwifery professions.
As the Chief Executive & Registrar you will be accountable for leading the Nursing and Midwifery Council and will be responsible for leading the organisation to deliver on its vision of safe, effective and kind nursing and midwifery practice that improves everyone’s health and wellbeing. You will be responsible for laying the foundations for change and responding to the People and Culture review by bringing colleagues and stakeholders together around a shared vision for our future culture to enable us to deliver on our purpose.

This is a full-time position with a fixed term contract of a minimum of 6 months, with the potential to extend up to 12 months.
Salary band: c £175,000 – £195,000
